| Cultivation conditions: | Medium 1592 , 18°C At the DSMZ, the cyanobacterial cultures are usually cultivated without agitation in 25 cm² plastic tissue culture flasks with filter screw caps. To subculture DSM 101380, scrape off the adhering cell material from the mature culture with a plastic Pasteur pipette or a cell scraper. Place the horizontal tissue culture flask containing the dispersed mature culture in an upright position and allow the cells to settle.
