| Origin: | established in 2009 from the peritoneal fluid of a 15-month-old female F344 rat after 356 days of induction with crocidolite (blue asbestos) injected intraperitoneously. Classified as cell line of preneoplastic epitheloid (PNep) type. This type was described to show high expression of Igf1 and Il10 and low expression of Cdh1 and c-Myc, relative to neoplastic rat mesothelioma cell lines (like cell line M5-T1, ACC 11003). Karyotype of cell line F3-1 is described in original publication (Roulois et al, 2016). |
