Marker: | Apr, ura 3+ |
Remarks: | Yeast episomal plasmid with numerous unique restriction sites. Cloning vehicle for introduction of constructs into S. cerevisiae at a high copy number. Can replicate in both E. coli (due to pBR322 replication origin) and S. cerevisiae (due to the replication determinant of the yeast 2 micron circle plasmid). Apr is the selectable marker in E. coli, the URA3 gene of the yeast strain +D4 usable as selective marker in yeast. The promoter of the Tcr gene of pBR322 is separated by the URA3 sequence. |
