Marker: | Kmr, Neor |
Remarks: | Natural isolate. Originally discovered in Staphylococcus aureus. General purpose plasmid vector for cloning in Bacillus. Sequence known. Copy number in B. subtilis about 50. The pUB110 replicon is the basis for the construction of chimeric plasmid vectors. The neomycin resistance is expressed in E. coli. Kmr and Neor may be insertionally inactivated within the unique BglII or BanI sites. pUB110 can replicate in other Bacillus species. Transfer of the vector either via transformation or transduction, using transducing phages PBS1, AR9 or SP10. |
